Emily has over 20 years of experience working with Adult, Children, and Families in the charity, public, and private sectors. She has been a qualified social worker for 12 years in a variety of roles, from in Child Protection, Children with Disabilities and working for the Family Court, representing the view of the child during proceedings. Emily has supported vulnerable individuals at Gatwick Airport fleeing from FGM or seeking refuge. She worked alongside the British and American Military throughout her career demonstrating her ability to build rapport across diverse backgrounds.
As a former Safeguarding Lead at the Priory Hospital overseeing 3 CAMHS units and 5 Adult wards, she has supported people directly when their have experienced Mental Health Crisis.
During her time as a Service Manager for a charity that supports care-experienced young people, she led change management initiatives, developed risk assessments and undertook audits to improve practice.
Emily has a teaching qualification, this supports her in delivering engaging, bespoke and inclusive training. Emily specialises in Safeguarding, contextual Safeguarding, and Mental Health First Aid Instructor Training.
